It Varies. But usually we are open til 12AM/1AM on weeknights. We are always open til 4AM on Fri & Sat Nite.

General Admission cover charge varies. weekends are usually $5-$6 Special Events are usually $10. Concerts are priced on a concert by concert basis.

What type of music do you play?
It varies. Usually dance variety bands perform in The Ballroom. Classic rock/dance bands in The Good Time Room and Blues Bands in The Melody Bar. We play recorded dance music on band breaks. |

Can I smoke at Jim Porter's?
Yes, you can smoke legally and comfortably year round on both our outdoor spaces. The Side Porch or The Courtyard. Both spaces are easily accessible, covered heated & air conditioned with comfortable seating, TV's & fireplaces. |
Can I rent out Jim Porter's?
Yes, J.P's is available for private parties, corporate function, weddings, wedding receptions, etc. On a case to case basis.

Can I take pictures or "tape" shows at Jim Porters?
It just depends. We really don't care. Most of the bands don't mind either. Some of the Nationals are sensitive about this sort of thing. It's just on a case by case basis. Sometimes we don't know ourselves. We suggest you bring your equipment, but be prepared to take it back to your vehicle and lock it in your trunk if it is prohibited. We have lockers in the club, large enough to store cameras and recorders during your visit. Bands allow personal photography but not professional photography equipment. |

What do I do if I have a problem with another disorderly guest?
DO NOT try to handle any problem situations inside or outside of our club. Report the situation to a door person and or ask to talk to the manager on duty. Our door security personel are easily identifiable by their baby blue shirts or jackets. If you are involved in a bar fight odds are you will be asked to leave depending on the situation and managements discretion you may be banned for a short, long or permanant amount of time! Our rule of thumb, if you are involved in any type of fight is " When in doubt they both go out." Management will not tolerate any type of physical violence. It will be dealt with very strictly. |

What to do if I am asked to leave the property?
Do
so quickly and quietly... without drama, abusive or profane language and
certainly no physical violence or club damage. Usually our guests are
asked to leave the premisis for the night. They are not usually being
barred. We find that our guests who wind up being permanantly barred, are those
who don't want to "let it go" after they are cut off from
alcohol service or asked to leave the property for some other reason. |
